British Library Labs is an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation funded project which supports and inspires the use of the British Library’s digital collections and data in exciting and innovative ways, through competitions, events and collaborative projects.
Since 2013, British Library Labs has been inviting researchers, developers and artists in from around the world to work with us to address an important research question or creative endeavour using the Library’s digital content and data.Through our annual competitions, events and collaborative projects we provide the necessary support to make innovative ideas happen, and in turn gain first-hand knowledge of how to shape our digital services and collections to ensure they are fit for purpose in the digital age.
